What is it about running in the rain that makes me feel all wild-woman-hear-me-roar strong? Is it the primal connection to nature? Toughing out the elements? Laughing in the face of danger?
The bigger the puddles, the stronger I feel. The less people I see on the trail, the more kick-ass I feel. Just how muddy and wet I come home, indicates just how much I rock.
It has been raining all day. But right now, it is pouring.
I'm going for a run.

I always feel that way when walking in the rain. :D
Rainy days are by far my favorite training days. The solitude is a big plus, the temperature balance certainly helps, but I think it is the feeling of the raindrops on my face and the taste of moisture in the air that clinches it. Run on, woman!
I haven't written to you in a while- I'm glad your still out there running! I'm just starting to run -after a semester of fighting tooth and nail with my trainer to not have to. And I'm actually enjoying those 1 min runs (and then 1:15 cooldowns!) I just bought my first running shoes :D I keep in mind you and others I know who run and love it and it helps! Thanks for being an inspiration!! | |
