I struggle with that too. I learned to play chess while visiting my beau in WA for the last few weeks. While my 1st game went very very well my others were not so great. I had to convince him that I wasn't being a sore, pouty loser; I was upset that I wasn't doing better more quickly.

Yay for perfectionistic tendencies! ;)

I do try to embrace the concept of perfect imperfection though so I applaud you for it too!!
